which 3.4 distributors match ?

The Grapeman has just about convinced me to chuck the electronics and injection for my conversion and to go with a distributor and carb.

What 3.4 motors came with distributors, and which one might be the best for use in a stock motor with a T5 sitting in a light car (2200 pounds).

Vehicle model and year would help but knowing the correct distributor ID model would be even nicer. ;)

I don't believe the 3.4 ever came with a distributor but the 2.8 did which is the same basic motor (different bore). The 1988 S-10 2.8 came with a distributor. Advance auto sells a Cardone rebuilt for $97 plus core of $15.
Part number 30-1631. Pep boys will probally have one also.

Wish a 91 4.3 would work 'cause I have one, but I'll go scouting for one that WILL work.
