        There are plenty still out there. Everyone seems to still want at least MSRP.

            I predict this car will be on Barrett Jackson famous auction on TV
            in a few years and it will go for $50K or more. This is how the wealthy make money. You buy this car....put it in storage and
            bring it out in a few years.

              That's absurd. No one has accumulated any appreciable amount of wealth through that method.

                    Who said anything about working at Walmart? Financial planning is clearly not your strong suit. I could beat that ROI with savings bonds. Geez.

                      So let me understand....with savings bonds bought with $25K
                      you could double your money in two years huh? Treasury bonds yield about 3% annually. That means three dollars on each $100.
                      I suggest you take a course in Finance if you think you can double
                      your money in 24 months by buying savings bonds.

                        Logic confounds you, doesn't it. You're regoddamnedtarded if you think F-bodys of any vintage are going to appreciate 50% in the forseeable future.

                          I strongly suggest you watch some of these auctions and you will see god awful American junk going for over $100K....like a RoadRunner et al. There are plenty of rich people with nothing better to do than over pay for a car at a highly charged auction.

                            I telephoned the dealer in San Diego tonight. He said it is going to the Barrett Jackson Auction in Scotsdale on 19 January 2011.
                            He says it will go for $45K to $50K dollars!!!!! His tel is 619-972-7073. I suggest you all tune in and call in your bids. Some of you think it is worth much less than that so, I suggest you put in your bid.

                              @PalmHarbor,

                              The rich people doing this didn't get rich by storing cars for 8-10 years and flipping em. There is money to be made and you are right some times these mint cars can be worth a lot of money. However you're forgetting the costs of storing cars for all those years, the costs of auctioning them, shipping, listing fees, final value auctioneer fees, taxes from the sale, etc...

                              These guys aren't flipping cars to get rich, its mostly a hobby. I know people like this. They have a lot of money and order cars on impulse. Then they order another toy while waiting for delivery and another and another and another. So they end up with half a dozen cars they never drive in storage. They eventually sell em and get their money back + a few bucks on top to buy more toys.

                              I'd be surprised if they really got 45K for it, but I'm not going to rule it out. People often over bid at auction. For private/dealer sales I've seen similar cars with similar millage sold locally for ~25-30k in Houston.
