dumb question, does the plastic piece cover the amp back up? how u secure the amp?
Yes, the plastic completely covers the amp. The amp is screwed to the board, which is held in place using the existing spare tire bolt. It's very sturdy.

With that stb, is it hard to add oil or is it out of the way of the filler neck?
I use a long thin funnel and have no problem putting oil in. The other option is to remove the bolt from that side and swing it up out of the way.
