Clearing out my garage, got a few things I need outta here.

T-56 Adapter by "The Gear Box."

This is a prototype setup, it had two bolt patterns to work with either a Mustang or a GM T-5 bellhousing. I'm selling this because I didn't have the time or patience to modify the T-56 that I'd already finished rebuilding. You'll need a longer input shaft, a hydraulic throwout bearing that will go over the snout of the adapter (designed for a remote throwout w/ a shifter fork). You'll need to make some modifications to the inner plate of the adapter if you get a GTO T-56 or any of the others that have a protrusion into that plane, you'll see it when you get it. Easily done if you have some machining tools or a friend with some.

why do you need a longer input shaft with that conversion plate? also, i don't see the reason for using the adapter snout?

It was originally designed for an external slave setup like the LT1 t56. The longer input shaft is a maybe. Youd have to check lengths of the input shaft and the dimensions of the t5 bellhousing and the location of the crank.

is it the same thickness as the malwood adapter?

i don't know how much luck you're gonna have selling that adapter for 200+shipping
i just looked at it on the gearbox website and its 205+shipping. It's a little nicer also since it's not the prototype. there aren't near as many holes. not that it really matters of course.

You're correct, and I'd changed the prices on all the other FS sections I'd had this listed on, but I missed this one lol! Price dropped a good bit.

do you have the extended pilot bushing?
