  • powerdyne supercharger w/ greddy air/air intercooler

Well, I am extremely dissapointed and saddened to say that due to some very unexpected transmission problems, I have no choice but to sell my s/c. The kit is as follows,

Powerdyne Supercharger w 10 pound pulley, all tubing, brackets and anything else associated with the kit, as well as a greddy air/air intercooler and boost gauge.

Since I bought this kit I have put less than 1000 Km on the supercharger, and before that it was in use for approx. 1 year by greenglow. The kit works great and I was seeing excellent results. I am asking 2500 american for the kit, plus shipping. If you're interested feel free to reply to the post or to drop me an email. Thanks.

With the pulley as is, as tight as the belt will go, it will support 10, perhaps a little more if you can get it that tight, you'll lose a little through the intercooler, I've found it to be about 1/2 - 1 psi of boost. Of course there are slightly smaller pulley's that you can get for the charger like JohnD has, and with the belt his tightest I think he's even seen 12 pounds. Although his is slightly smaller than the one that I have on right now. Hope that answers your question.

I'll take some pics on thursday, and email each of you, the charger and intercooler were both stripped of the green paint and are both bare metal. The tubing, and the backing plate the supercharger is mounted on is painted a dark blue. Hope that helps

Honestly Laron buddy, I can't tell you how dissapointed I feel about everything. I mean I just started a new awesome job at a union shop thats paying me very well, I'm getting my studio set up within the next 2 weeks, everything is going just awesome, and then my trans dies and it just sucked the fun out of everything. I never got to see my numbers at 10 pounds! My transmission screwed up and wouldn't shift properly when I was trying to test it at the track! I was less than 1360 ft from getting my #'s at 10 psi, and it had to die then! It's not fair!!
                    :(
I will probably sell my car in the spring and get a Ls1 T/A, but I have to say I can't tell you how much I was looking forward to being able to beat an ls1 with my bird. That would definately be the best feeling ever!

Where was the intercooler mounted at? I'm really intrested in this. Will it come with everything needed for a install? How hard is it to install? Is it all bolton or will I need to weld some pipes?

No welding at all, very simple setup, the intercooler is installed right to your throttlebody. It's a very good idea because with such little piping to run through, you lose very little boost with the intercooler compared to without it, the only down side being it's not getting quite all of the air that it could be, which is why I was going to fab a scoop, or I was even thinking about an intake tube mounted beside the air dam which would lead back to the intercooler and supply even more air. The kit is a pretty simple install, bolts on. I installed mine myself.

The only thing possibly needed is the little 45 degree fitting that changes the location of the oil sending unit. Laron the original owner had opted to just notch the mounting plate to allow for clearance, which he said had worked great for his car and gave him no need for the fitting. However when I installed the s/c, the OPSU still needed to be relocated for my application as his car was a different year from mine.

All in all, it's a simple setup that works well and has great results.
