Yeah at lunch time I installed it on my old 3.8 on the dolly in the floor and snapped some pictures, but I ran out of time and didn't get them downloaded to the computer yet.

I saw where paypal has a little window on the listing where you can get it for $96 a month...

John, I may buy the kit. I'm considering switching sides. What's the history of the kit?

Gimme a bit to think. $1500 is around my pricing point.

I bought it from Perry V in Canada. He sold it to go turbo... He bought it used too. He had some slipping issues with it. He also had it rebuilt right before I got it.

I installed it in December last year. I piddled with it a bit, reworked the tubing for it. Then I bought an LS1 engine/tranny/pcm combo in January. And I bought a bunch of parts for the LS1 too - intake, k-member, cam, heads, etc.

After I got the blower running like I wanted it, I realized I probably wouldn't have bought the LS1 after all because the v6 was running so good, but I was too far into it then to turn back.

I came up with the alternate routing for the belt, fixed an old alignment problem with the drive pulley, and was getting 7-8 psi on it. Then I had the pulley grooved and started getting 10 psi. (sometimes 12 psi, I had to loosen the belt just a tad because my injectors weren't up to handling 12 psi.)

Took it for a 14.1 pass.

I got ends for the fmu lines and installed that, and got 13.6 with it.

I pulled the engine over the July 4th weekend.

I just noticed you have a 97... You'll probably have to modify the suction side tubing for your setup, unless you can fit a 98 lid under there.

I still have most of the big u-shaped pipe that came with the kit, I could include that if you want to get some connectors and tie it back together.

John, I think I'm gonna buy that rebulid kit from you. In the instructions, does it describe how to replace those 2 bearings that I've heard will need to be pressed out? I'm running Mike's (Ironman24) old kit, and it sounds like the bearings are finally about shot.

Will this kit work on a 2002? Because if you buy new they have the kits for 98 and under and then 99 to 2002.

The tubing from the blower to the throttle body is different on the 99+, because of the straight intake/tb. The 98 and below have the angled one, so the tubing comes out at a slightly different place.

If you replace the piece of tubing from the blower to the tb, it should hook right up. (unless you have the "low pressure" fueling system on the 2002, then you might have to do something about that too.)

It just says you need an "internal" bearing puller, but it doesn't go into detail about how to set it up.

I believe it is this type of part:

Argh...Allready been researching this subject (tb intake blower pipe) for using this kit on my 2001. Can't find any parts that make this happen yet. Been to powerdyne and rk sport...neither seem to have specific parts available. (other than FMU and Fuel pump, and flex hose, etc.) I suppose I could call RK....hm...bet they would rather sell me the entire 99-02 compitible kit though. :)

I wish RKsport would hurry up and post the install pdf for the 00-02 kit...

Good luck with the sale. grayman

Why are you selling that beast? If it was only 1500 i would probably buy it, but i don't have close to 2500.

The guy at lm performance said all that needs to be changed is the fuel system is the fuel pressure regulator (hope he is right) that is why i ordered the powerdyne new from them so i would have a warranty in case it dose not work. But becasue of recent events i might have to send it back because i won't be able to afford the payments.

The outlet of the blower is 3". Here are a couple of sources for flexible ducting:

http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/duct.htm
$65 for 11 feet
(scroll down to the second type)

http://www.colemanracing.com/section/index.htp?id=414
$68 for 12 feet

Then some type of adapter for the tb, 3" to 3.5".

What would be ideal would be to find the same type of flexible tubing used on the Mach kit.

I took out the v6, and swapped in an LS1. I was going to fab up some brackets to use it on the LS1, but changed my mind and went turbo instead...

If only one person bids on it, I guess it would only be $1500... (although I have quite a bit more in it than that, so I sure hope it goes for more.)
