  • For Sale: 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP *PICS*

I posted this before, but I thought I'd give some more info and now I have some pics for you guys:

Due to the insurance and the high cost of premium fuel in the city of Chicago, I'm selling my 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP sedan with 71k miles. It's silver with a black leather interior and almost every option. SOME of those options include traction control, trip computer (with MPG, oil life, range, and fuel used modes as well as a door-ajar and low-washer-fluid indicator), an overhead console, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated seats, power driver's seat, and a factory supercharger. This car has 240 hp and 280 pound-feet of torque. Most of you know how mod-able these cars are (more boost and up to 25hp are just a $70 pulley away), but mine is completely stock and has never seen a track. This car makes a great daily driver that is fun as hell and a sleeper to boot. According to my trip computer, the car is averaging 21.6 MPG in about 75% city, 25% highway driving.

The car does have a couple of minor problems. There is some minor paint flaking on the rear bumper, immediately beneath the license plate. It's barely noticeable (see pic below), especially from five feet away. The HUD is not working properly right now, but instructions on how to fix it for free are available at www.clubgp.com, I just lack the technical ability. Finally, as of now you have to press the shift-lock release button to shift out of park, but that is easily fixed and I am willing to work that cost out of the price of the vehicle. Those are the only problems that I know of; the car is mechanically sound.

I'm asking $7,500 or best offer. Similarly equipped, same-year cars with a lot more miles are selling on AutoTrader for $11,000 or more.

I live in Chicago and I'm willing to drive up to 150 miles in any direction to meet you halfway for a test-drive or to make delivery. If you live further, well, we'll see what we can work out. Without further ado, here are the pics:
