  • Gauging Interest: 97 Camaro Base with M5

To make a long story short, this car was involved in an accident. I was rear-ended and pushed into the car in front of me. Now, here's a list of what needs to be fixed:

You need a new bumper, both front and back.
    You need a new hood.
You *possibly* need a new drivers side rear quarter panel. I'm pretty sure the dent in this can be bent out and fixed by a body shop though. I'm just adding it just in case.
The passenger side rear quarter panel has a small crinkle in it that should be able to be knocked out as well.

As far as the rest of the damage, I have not noticed any frame damage. That car actually slid underneat the car in front, so it wasn't too horrible of an accident. The rear actually doesn't look damaged at all. The interior, hatch and everything else is in excellent condition.

The car is a 1997 model obviously. She has ~75k miles on her. I purchased the car used and as far as I know, it has never once seen the track. She was a daily drive for the previous owner and is the same for myself. I babied her the entire time I had her. The interior is in near-mint condition. When I purchased the car, it had manual locks and windows. I added power locks onto the car and have a power windows kit. I also have an aftermarket head unit and mp3 player built in.

The head unit is a Sony XPlod head unit. It has mp3 cd capability and a remote and all that jazz.

    The mp3 player is: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...72282&v=glance

If you want me to keep those on the car, it's an extra $450.

Feel free to give any offers. I'd like to ask $3500, but I dont know if this is too high. I'm open to any offers, but I'm not dieing to sell the car.

I will post pictures up tomorrow.

    Thanks

You wouldn't want to sell the power windows kit alone, would you?

If it helps you, I barely got $1k for my car, and it was running. (97 with 90k miles)

I will give you $700 for the car. I highly doubt you will get a better offer than that, because of all the body damage. There is about $4000 in damage on that car, and your near-mint condition interior is stained on the floors, and a cigarette burn in the back seat. $700, final offer.

BTW, nothing will drop the value of a car quicker and harder than body damage. Its basically what they value the car with. Engines really don't mean ****, so long as the body is in excellent shape, in which yours is not. That car was probably worth $4000-$4500 without the damage, but with it, its not worth more than $500. I am offering $700, which is a fair deal for that car in that shape. It may not look it to you, but the body of that car is pretty much done for.
