is this what you were using with the GT cam?
also it does air/fuel, anything else?

I will second that.. I started with just the Maft which lets you adjust airfuel @ WO throttle and From Idle to just regular acceleration.. I upgraded to a Maft Plus which also adjusts spark.. I went from 174rwhp and 204rwtq to 181rwhp and 215rwtq after advancing the timing 2 degrees and leaning it out 2 percent..

so is it worth the extra money to get the maft+?
and would the Maft+ work with nitrous, if you adjusted the timing back to stock?

Probably a dumb question, but does it include everything needed to install? I've heard of a maft but have no clue how to install.

BTW, is the install easy? How long does it take? And how long to tune?

The install is simple.. Inplug your maft sensor on your TB and plug one of the MAF plugs into your maft sensor and the other MAF plug into the cable you unpluged from the maft sensor.. Thats it.. Tuning consists of unscrewing the 4 screws on the little box and adjusting the 2 nobs inside the box by following the diagram on the boxs lid you unscrewed..

Jeff -- So using a MAFT is a one-time or occassional thing?

And I saw another post that stated the MAFT+ does the same as a MAFT but also adjusts timing. So is there a big diff between the two?

Holy crap, really? I just bought MAFT+ for when I go turbo but it sounds like I should do some learning and tweaking even before?

What did you use to get readings....Autotap? Guages?

                        thanks

You can tune your car whenever you want too.. Right now I have my Maft+ advanced 2 degrees @ wot and just driving normally and leaned out 2 percent.. On the dyno I gained 8rwhp and 10rwtq just by doing this.. When I spray I just turn all the nobs to 0 for stock timing and a/f.. Its very simple..

</font>[/QUOTE]I tuned my car on the dynojet with the wideband.. ran a 13.0 A/F on motor without a tune and put down 175rwhp and 205rwtq.. I leaned it out 2% and advandced the timing 2 degrees and I put down 182rwhp and 215rwtq.. My A/F was 13.4 all the way.. Thats were I left it.. I was happy to see those gains on motor.. I could have leaned it out 4% and advance timing 4 degrees and see what it did but I wanted to see what my car would do with the 125 shot.. On the spray I just set all the nobs to 0 so it is at stock timing.. The maft+ also has a setting for turbo cars that allows you to retard timingduring different RPMS..
                            The first setting is for 2degrees retard @ 2400, 4degrees retard@ 4000 and 6 degrees retard @ 5000..
                            The second seeting starts out with 4 degrees retard @ 2400, 6 degrees retard @ 4000, and 8 degrees retard @ 5000..
The 3rd setting is 6,8,10 degrees retard..

But for a N/A car I would just get the Maft.. I gained 6rwhp and 8ftlbs from just leaning it out 2%..

What do you mean by "N/A"?

I don't have nitrous, just looking for the best deal between a MAFT and a MAFT+.
