if it came from a 96 camaro then it is def. the 3.8l and will work with your 97 bird as well. Same exact engine in the 96 and 97 fbody's.

as soon as i find out the shipping i will let you know, yeah it will fit your firebird. i am 100% positive it is a 3.8! it runs good. i have never had any motor problems, it never over heated at all. well maitained.

i am interested do you still have it does the tranny have the hydraulic throwout bearing clutch flywheel etc... im trying to do a tranny swap from automatic to manual i also need your computer and my car is a 96 rs y87so its perfect im in the navy and currently in california but im going home to phoenix soon i could drive out and pick it up did you say 600 for everything.

hey sorry, the place im in theres no way for me to email possibly till the weekend but i want to verify a few things, are the motor and tranny bolted up together and are they on the cross member is the wiring harness still on the motor and tranny have you taken any parts off because i want to just put the whole damn motor tranny kross member and all in there.could you show me some pics by the way.
