  • 3.1 Aluminum Heads, lower intake, 3400 upper intake.

    Hi there,

In my quest to juice up my 3.4 Camaro I've acquired some extra parts. I won these 3 auctions.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=8056854294

I thought the seller of the heads and the lower intake was flaking on me and didn't send me an invoice for almost 2 weeks. In that time I came across a complete 3400 top end and pistons so I jumped on that. And...I'm not kidding here...The day after I received all the 3400 parts the seller of the 3.1 parts finally sent me an invoice. So now I've going to have all these extra parts. Please correct me if I'm wrong...but I believe that the 3400 upper intake will fit on the 3.1 lower. I have the upper in my possession already...it's a nice clean piece. The white paint in a little thin in area's and the casting is still rough. I can sand blast the white off if so desired.

I'd like to get $275 shipped to the lower 48 for everything in the 3 auctions. If I get a quick response I'll just have the heads and lower shipped directly to you from the ebay seller. As you can see they have good feedback. And I'll ship the upper intake. I’d rather not ship to Canada…sorry.

I know it's unnerving to buy from new members but look at my feedback on ebay and check out these links at www.2gnt.com a DSM car forum.

    No one is interested?

I also have an extra stock 3.4 upper and lower intake. I'm not sure why anyone would want one...heck I'm not even sure why I bought it. LOL

would you be willing to sell the 3400 upper intake and the 3100 lower intake?

      will they work together?

is the 3400 lower intake much better?

does it come with fuel rails?

      thanks:)

IF the heads will bolt right onto the 3.4 I am intersted in them.

No, you need to go internal and change out the pistons to accommodate for the KR.
Good luck with you're sale, seems like a reasonable price.

I can sell them separately…but you will need a set of the aluminum heads, either these 3.1’s or a set of 3400’s. As far as my knowledge goes the cast iron heads will NOT work. I think the 3400 upper will work with the 3.1 lower. The best thing for me to do at this point is go ahead and get the stuff shipped to me first and see if they are compatible.

Sorry…no fuel rails. Also you’ll need to complete the swap, possibly valve covers, and the watter “neck”.

I’m sure that they will…but all my information on this subject came from these to threads.

If you are both still interested please read these threads and make your own opinion before you buy…I hate to have someone be upset with a transaction from me. I tend jump ship and buy now and figure out if it’ll really work later…LOL So I’m trying to save you guys some grief if I made a bad decision. But like I said…I wholly believe that everything will work together on a 3.4L Camaro/Firebird.

Keep trying to sell the set, as I'm researchign this a bit and it looks like from my reading I would need everything you are selling AND throttle body, fuel rail, and pistons.

I'm not going to put that much into the 3.4 right now when I have a few 3.8 blocks at my disposal, only trying to fix my valve seal problem on the 3.4 and figured if I could just swap heads that would be a quick fix.

Good luck with the sale, if I decide I'm going to build the 3.4 up a bit I'll hit you up on here again.

Yes! The pistons too....thank you for adding that. I want ppl to know what they are getting it to before they buy :)

As for the price...that's about my break even point...maybe with me in the hole a little...but I'm still a little flexable.
