  • T70 Forward Header Turbo Kit

Resurrected. Deals fell through. $2750 obo for the whole thing, or make offers on the parts.

    -Master Power 'T-70' pending
-Intercooler from PTE 24x8x6 inch core, with end takes and inlet outlet, total width is 30in (it is a PTE AS1025) $415
-Tial 38mm waste gate with 2 wastegate springs, the one in the WG is sm yellow 0.25bar (~4psi), and the other is sm green 0.5bar (~7psi) $175
-Forward facing manifolds with machined flanges $500
    -Manual boost controller $20
-Autometer carbon fiber electric boost guage $175
-Autometer carbon fiber electric fuel pressure gauge $180
    -2 guage piller pod (t top) $25
-2 guage universal piller pod (non t-top) pending
-All exhaust piping till under the Kmember for the downpipe. There is also another downpipe that just dumps straight down $70
-Fittings for oil supply and drain $15
    -new NGK spark plugs $15
    -Odyssey PC680 slim battery $75
    -Cone air filter $20

Everything is in two 176 quart tubs at the moment. The quirk of this kit is that the passenger manifold is very close to the bottom heater hose where it comes out of the block. You can either plug those with the plugs that are included, or if you could find a metal 90* fitting to put in the bottom port then that would probably allow you to reroute it without any problems. Additionally I relocated my power steering reservoir to under the driver side rubber hood stop.

The picture of the boost gauge is of the original manual one, which I replaced with an electric one so I wouldn't have to run vacuum line through the firewall. The electric gauge compensates for varying atmospheric conditions and also has a peak boost recall function.

The pictures are from when the kit was installed on Jason's car. I had it on mine, but didn't snap any because it was essentially the same, although I put the intercooler flat in front of the air deflector, like iGoRa did in this thread:

I see. You're first on the list for the whole thing then.

Re: T70 Forward Header Turbo Kit

I listed the issues with the kit in the post (ie heater changes). Other than that you shouldn't have any problems. I had to replace the boost gauge and fuel pressure gauge sender after I bought the kit, and everything else is good to go.

Sorry for the delayed response. I have started up my family practice rotation and don't have a lot of time for message boards.

Re: T70 Forward Header Turbo Kit

If i thought that I could install it myself then I would be interested. How hard would it be to install? I am a moderate car buff but I am not afraid to try something thats not that difficult. By the way I would be installing this on a 99 camaro.

Re: T70 Forward Header Turbo Kit

If you have removed manifolds before then you already know how to do one of the more difficult parts. The other thing that is tricky is tapping the oil pan, which is best done by taking the pan off the car. Otherwise I think most of the stuff goes together in a pretty self explanatory manner. There are no instructions for the kit written out, but I could try to explain it.

Back from the grave. Make offers on the parts since nobody is really interested (deals fell through) in the whole thing. Reply here or in the fullthrottlev6.com thread. Or email me.

It should fit a 99 with an 00 engine especially. Make me an offer of whatever you think is fair with or without the turbo and I'll tell you if you got it :)
