  • Shaved Air lid and bellows

LOWERED PRICE!! Just got myself a whisper lid (thanks to Firebirdv600) so I am selling my stock shaved air lid with smooth air bellows. This is off of a 2000 Camaro, so it will definately fit a 2000 and up (not sure about 99).

This is great if you want to shave your own lid but don't want to fubar your existing one. Asking 20 obo plus shipping costs. Shipping should be around 5-8 dollars depending on location.

    Some pics...

    Inside shaved...

The lid has the gasket that comes with a new K&N filter attached to it. The inside could use some more sanding to make it perfectly smooth, but overall the lid is in great condition. All you'd need to do is attach your IAT sensor.

    Thanks!

Whisper lid was installed last night, so I can only tell that it looks a bit better. I'll give it some gas on the way to work and see what kind of butt dyno results I get. The shaved lid and bellows were the first mods I did before exhaust. The car pulled a bit better and sounded much better. But I never had it dynoed. Some one should really test out all three set ups... (stock, shaved, whisper...).

I'll post some whisper "drive to work" results in about an hour.

Drove around during my lunch break. The car sounds much better, I can definately here the air whooshing in. I was hitting the gas pretty hard, so I can't say whether or not the whisper is a hp improvement over the shaved lid. I might have felt it more if I had gone from totally stock to whisper lid.

What did you use for the smooth elbow on your airbox?

The bellows attached to the air lid? I used some home depot black pvc. The fit is perfect and looked a lot better in the engine bay, compared to the air silencer.
