I'm trying to sell my PCM for less tuned PCM for a 3.8L 5spd camaro. It was in a 1996 camaro 5spd and really added more power and overall improved the performance of the engine.
It is made for 4.10 gear ratio 5spd and also has firm shift points and overall improvement in tuning.
I am trying to sell it for 100 bucks shipped because I just bought it in August and was only in my car for about 2000 miles.
im interested, but is there anyway to reprogram it to know that i have 3:42's instead of the 4:10's. i would like to think its HPtuners compatible. but lemme know if im wrong. my car kinda needs a new PCM, if its going to make any more power without engine work. ill through 50 bucks out there. not trying to low ball you, but why did you take it out of the car in the first place???
Yea I believe its from a 97 because the 96's aren't re-programmable, or at least thats what pcmforless told me.
Also I crashed my car back in October and it was totalled, so I just swapped out the programmed PCM to sell it and replaced it with the original one I had taken out.
If you have 3.42 gears I think you could send it back to pcmforless and because its one of thier pcms they'll do any additional tuning for $40 bucks from what I remember. My intentions were that this would be the best deal for someone with a 3.8 5spd with 4.10 gears becuase they can just install it into their car and are ready to go. But yes, you should be able to send it back to reprogram anything on it and they are prettygood about getting it back to you fast.
I paid $225 for it in august so I'm gonna have to say im gonna wait on that $50 just to see if anyone has any other interest.

SOLD. I'll give you $100 shipped. e-mail me if you want to close this deal.
its not sold yet... but a sale IS pending for $100 shipped. I dont really want this to go into an auction or anything, but throw me down an offer. I paid $225 so i wouldn't mind get a little more for it if i could.

Thats not what we do here. being apart of this community requires respect and that means not going behind someones back cause you'll offer more. If you wanted to get the most possible, should have gone to ebay....probably would have gotten less though :)
