  • Steering Shaft Coupling FREE

I've got the steering shaft coupling, it runs from the firewall to the steering rack. It's free to anyone, I'm giving it away - Just pay shipping at its actual price.

I had some freeplay in my steering and tracked it down to the rack and replaced it with a v8 one, I figured I might as well upgrade - they cost the same. That worked great, but the steering shaft coupling on a v8 is different and the wheel is cocked at a 90 degree angle to normal so I had to get the v8 coupling. Now that means I have a v6 coupling and the plastic cover that go over its joint sitting around. I'd like to clear it out and it will work great for anyone who has the v6 rack who needs to replace it or has had front-end damage or is doing a restoration or fix-er-up.

Again, it's completely free for the item itself and I would just like shipping reimbursed - after I ship it, I will let you know how much it is and just drop me a check in the mail.

LOL sorry. Don't worry, these cars break down every 3 months. My girlfriend won't ride in mine anymore.

      July: Steering rack goes out
October: 'Dealer fixed' oil pressure/coolant sensors & wiring get caught in accessory belt, tear belt, both sensors, and their wiring. I fix it.
October: Oil leak from....somewhere begins at the rear of the motor.
November: Blinker and horn go on the blitz. Yet to be fixed.
November: Car barely runs & I'm 1000 miles from home. Vacuum line slipped off the throttle body.
      January: Alternator goes out

That's the most recent, but believe me, for about 2-3 years, I've got a 3 month breakdown history. Whether its a water pump or a transmission, you name it, I've had it. I'm almost sad to see the car go...when I realize what I've put into it....the VIN says a 98, but the parts say brand new.

Give it 3 months and you'll need the coupling. I think it also may work on 93-97 camaro v8s with the LT1. Maybe also on 98-99 LS1's, but not sure on those.

      COME ON PEOPLE IT'S FREE!!!!
