I'm thinking about selling my 1994 camaro convertible. It has about 159000 miles on it 75 percent of which are highway miles. I used this car mostly to commute to and from University of Delaware. I live in southern Delaware.
Mechanically the car is in great shape. The engine was fully rebuilt this past summer and has only 5000 miles on it. Brakes all around were replaced about 4 months ago. New rotors, pads shoes, etc. The tires have about 75 % tred on them and are goodyear eagle GT's.
The convertible was fine until this past weekend when someone cut me a sunroof. They stole my aftermarket radio but nothing else thank god. A replacement top and headliner can be had for around $600 plus labor. The rear glass is totally reusable. Check here for the top: http://www.autostyles.com/cf94on.htm. The top is currently taped on the inside and outside and parked in the garage to protect it from weather. No water damage has been done.
The wiring harness is fully intact and can be plugged into a factory or another aftermarket radio with a wiring harness. I have component sony xplod speakers in the front and 2 way speakers in the back. The trim that went around the radio was cracked so i removed it. Took me 15 mins; take the panel under the steering column off and remove the bolts on both sides. The piece can be had from the gm dealer for $30.
As far as the rest of the body the front clip was recently repainted by a local body shop. Very professionally done. As for some flaws: the rear bumper has some spiderwebbing and the right rocker was pushed in from a pot hole.
Other than that the body on this car is in great shape for this year.
The interior is in nice shape except the drivers seat which is pretty worn down on the left side, which is expected on a car of this age.
I'm selling this car because I cant put any more money into it. I just cant afford to fix this stuff. I just want to recoup some of the money i put into it rebuilding the engine and painting it. I spent over 2000 dollars on the engine and around 1000 repainting the front clip.
The car will sit garaged until it is either fixed or sold.
