Hey all, I have a 96 3800 engine, auto trans, header flanges/collectors, and a turbo cam for sale.

The engine/trans comes from a 96 v6 car I just bought for a build up. It's getting a turbocharged LSX build up so I don't need the engine/trans. The car has about 150k on the clock. I was told it was parked because the trans needed a rebuild. The engine turns over just fine with no drama and the oil looks great. Since it has been sitting so long, I didn't grind on the starter for a long time. I just tried spinning it over a couple times to see if it would start. It didn't try so I figured it had a fuel or spark problem and I pulled a wire off and held it to ground with no spark. It did not start but it doesn't look like it's getting spark. Probably just a ICM problem. Plus it has 2 year old gas in it. So I'm pricing the engine/trans low. As with any high miles motor, I recommend refreshing it before installing it. The trans fluid is a little brown and does smell burnt. Expect to rebuild this one too. So for prices on these I'm looking for:

    Engine complete minus harness/PCM: Sold
    Trans: OBO
    PCM: OBO
    L67 pistons: OBO
3800 Turbo Cam 223/218 duration, and a 540/543 lift on a 114 lobe sep (custom ground by Cammotion): Sold
TOG header flanges and vband collectors: Sold

Local pickup is highly preferred on the larger items but shipping can be arranged at buyers expense. To ship the engine/trans I would have to build a crate I'm sure so I would ask for the cost of materials there. Drop a post or shoot me a PM if interested or have questions.

I'm in Oklahoma City, OK. Shipping is best rate you can find it from 73110 to your address. I did add one addendum above asking for the cost of materials to crate the engine if so necessary. I bought a 4x8 sheet of plywood for about 36 bucks from lowes a couple years ago so I'm guessing about 50 would cover it now (plus a couple pieces of 2x4 for skids). If your shipping company will crate it for you, all the better!

Hey I know I'm a long ways away (wisconsin, 53916) But would still be interested in the motor complete for 150+shipping. Can I get a shipping quote?

        Thanks

I dont think it will be a problem. I want to say it cost me about 150 bucks to ship/insure an LS1 long block via DHL but I don't recall for sure. If you want to check on some shipping options, I'm in Oklahoma City. If you cover the cost of materials (wood basically), I'll crate it up and drop it off at a shipping location if need be.

Was thinking, I'm not getting a ton of hits on the header parts and such. I was thinking of putting together a turbo kit for the v6 instead since I still have the car together. Anyone interested in a new turbo kit? If there is enough, I'll do a build thread then put the results up for sale.

Hey, if you're still thinking about selling the motor I got the $$. motor would come with all accessories, ac compressor, valve covers, complete motor, right? couple pics would be cool if you were considering selling the motor yet.
              Thanks!

Yep, the motor is complete, intake to oil pan! It's still in the car though I might get motivated to yank it out this weekend. Hell, if you want, I'll even throw in the induction plastics too! The only thing I'm keeping with the motor is the wiring harness and PCM tho those are for sale as well. More than anything I just need to double check what I need to hack up to use with the LSX swap in since I'll probably use an ls1 pcm.

Sounds great for what I'm doin. Lookin to rebuild motor for a turbo setup, so I sure wouldn't need the stock induction parts. Gimme a couple days to work out the $$ and I'll post again.

Sorry for the slow reply. I've got a sale pending on the engine, headers, rearend, turbo cam, and spare l36 heads. I had been talking via email and forgot to post up the pics. If anything happens, I'll let everyone know.

I still have the L67 parts and the trans/converter, etc. Also, if anyone needs anything off a 96 v6 camaro, lmk. I'm removing quite a few parts in the build so I might have a part you need.

                              Thanks again!
