  • Thinking of selling my 3400 upper end

I got a hold of a 3500 upper, so I'm thinking of selling the 3400 stuff.

Because of finding a good deal on a 3.4, I can take advantage and use a 3500 upper (the 3400 was going to go on my 3.1).

    I have a pair of 170 casting heads (from a 00 3400),
lower intake manifold with fuel rail,
    3400 upper/plenum.

I also have a set of 3100 pistons to make the conversion easier for someone who wants to make a hybrid out of a 3.1. (still pressed on rods).

I would like to sell it as a package, but may part for the right price. Any reasonable offers will be accepted, buyer pays shipping.

That on in particular was sold a while ago, but have since been stocking items.

If you want to use the Camaro pistons and have a way of tuning, 3500 heads can be used instead (11.5:1-12:1 SCR, works on aluminum heads with timing retard). Also have a complete 3400 top end in the process of being ported (heads haven't been touched yet), and another set of heads and upper intake.

        heres the rundown.

I have no viable options of tuning, as my car is in fact a 93. And i don't feel like spending 400$ + on Megasquirt. So basically what i would need is the aluminum heads, 3400 intake manifold, 3400 plenum, and whatever else is required for the swap (injectors, pistons ... i don't know everything that is required but you certainly would.) let me know what u have out of that whole project.

        thanx

You will need 3400 pistons to make the swap complete besides a few other minor parts. You'll need a longer throttle cable, three wire CTS, 3400 top end gasket kit, pushrods from a Gen2 will work etc etc.

All the small parts are available from GM, but some parts are better/cheaper rebuilt/salvaged.

Are you rebuilding anyways, and want to upgrade?

yeah right now i've got off the plenum, LIM, valve covers ect.

I don't have the heads off yet though. But i was thinking of having them P&P'd until i thought, well if i'm gonna have everything off why not put it all back together with the 3400 top end?

What parts would you have then for me? P&P'd aluminum heads, UIM, LIM, injectors??

let me know what u got and what the total cost would be and i'll let u know if this is a viable option right now for me. thanx

I can sell you used parts, or completely rebuilt, it's up to you.

I have a set right now that haven't been remanufactured yet, I'll take $75 for the pair plus shipping. Another set is in the process of a rebuild that are $200 for the pair (remanufactured). We don't have any lower intakes that are unported right now, but have 2 upper intakes untouched.
