What's the gain of the intense head gaskets? They're thinner then stock, so you'll get more compression, right? They're only .013mm thinner, will that make that big of a difference? I plan on putting some ported heads on soon, along with a cam, which is why I'm wondering.

Yes they are a hair thinner than stock and will bump your compression up 0.1, so you will effectively have a 9.6:1 compression ratio. Also they are multi-layered steel aka three pieces of thin crushable metal, versus the stock design. They are designed for elevated cylinder cylinder pressures and are stronger than stock, meaning less chance of a blown head gasket. And also they are reusable. I never used these but I heard you should use "copper spray" on the gasket surfaces before installing. Also I would recomend some ARP headstuds to go along with these to clamp the heads down tighter, but I already sold the set I had.
