  • Intrested in a turbo kit?

    I have a turbo setup for sale:

    Dropping the price, Sept 25th/07: was $2800

    Everything needed, I want $2500 for it. Here are some pics, let me know if intrested i will give you some more info.

    Kit has practically everything you see below:
    Head unit, Forward facing headers, Intercooler, Piping, Clamps, etc.

    My best friend built this setup, had it running @ 6 PSI on his car, I ran out of money for my turbo project so its time to sell it off.

    Theese pics are from the kit installed on his car.

    I have alot more details about the kit so dont be afraid to ask, I will pm you a list of EVERYTHING you get for your money with this kit.

        Re: Intrested in a turbo kit?

        Kit includes:

        T3 turbo off 85 Buick.
        TE-44 turbo (bigger turbo, needs rebuild) included.
        Forward sweeping pass-through turbo manifold.
        Driver's side stock cast manifold(only needed if you are 2000 and up, otherwise use your stocker).
        Exhaust crossover pipe and downpipe.
        Intercooler (3'x8"x3")
        Paxton inline fuel pump with boost actuator switch.
        Paxton 8:1 FMU
        BOV from a turbo Eclipse.
        All piping intake and exhaust piping including polished stainless piping in the engine bay.
        All silicone couplers and tbar clamps.
        All bolts and fasteners, gaskets.
        Manual boost controller.
        Shorter serpentine belt for once a/c is gone.

        As indicated, for this kit to install you must remove your ac compressor. It will work on a 93 - 97 directly and with minor work on a 98 and up v6 fbody.

        What you need to do/get:

        Tap the oil pan for the return and get about 2 feet of hose, I had to cut mine in the deinstall.
        Get a T connector to tap into the oil sending unit. You will T out of the block with the sending unit in one side and the oil feed to the turbo in the other.
        If you choose to install the paxton fuel pump, you'd need a few feet of fuel line. Nothing you cant buy at any autoparts store.

        Things to consider for the future... if you have stock injectors, you can usually run up to 8-10psi boost fine using the fmu but you might consider bigger injectors.

        You will have to do something to vent crankcase pressure because the pcv vents through the throttle body and boost will overpower the pcv and pressurize the block and blow your seals. The two most common way is to get a breather for your valve covers, and block the PCV hole in the TB and vent the PCV to outside air.

        Its pretty much a "turbo kit" there is 99% of everything needed to bolt it to your car and drive, aside from tuning and things like that. Everything eltse you need I mentioned above.

        Please post up or PM if intrested.

              Re: Intrested in a turbo kit?

              Are you only running one header to the turbo?

              Got any pics of the driver side header?

                Sorry for the Long Reply, Computer Issues.

                Anyways, Back to business.

                Yes the Turbo gets fed from Both banks, It's fed by a header on the passenger side, but the drivers side sweeps around and back through it so both banks are feeding the turbo. The manifold has an O2 bung so you hook in your factory O2 and it works as normal. You can see in the pics of the Driver side manafold where the turbo bolts onto the front and the passenger side input comes from the back.

                  Who built it/installed it?

                  Do you have track numbers to back it up?

                      A freind of mine built it, and did the work.

                      The results similar setups have got guys is, ls1 numbers but I never achieved these officially. Early on I ran 9psi but I had some bogging due to a rich condition. When I got my wideband I turned the wastegate down to 6psi to get that running and I sold the car before I started going back up. Even at 6psi it was a substantial increase in power. It felt faster than my LT1.

                      I never got it to the track or dyno but the general rule is:

                      6PSI = 60Horse
                      10PSI = 100Horse
                      12PSI = 120Horse
                      ETC.

                      Keep in mind that is simply a general rule for estimating purposes.

                      I can however attest that the kit is capable of making 9+ LBs of Boost, Because that is what I have personally observed.

                      9 PSI is about the maximum you would ever want to run on a street motor, without going into the motor and doing some work.

                        The whole setup is build off a GNX's design! With improvements where needed, EX. The (3'x8"x3")Intercooler, and the Paxton fuel pump. :D

                        All of that comes with the kit! :)
