  • Nitrous: ZEX Wet Kit

Still got the nitrous for sale. It's a Zex wet kit. Here's a list of everything that's included, and all the info I have.

    ZEX Wet Kit $300 +shipping
I really never got around to using the nitrous much, only made 4 passes with it. I got this last year, just as it started to get cold, so the bottle pressure was about 600psi and I really never found out what it was capable of. It’s a ZEX Wet Kit that I got if from a buddy of mine when he traded in his '05 Mustang GT. Here's a link to the kit on their site: http://www.zex.com/Products/NitrousO...t ore_Code=ZX. I've got everything you need to hook it up in an V6 F-Body, or to put it back in a GT. That page talks about special parts for the Mustang fuel system. It's just a CNC machined fitting, with a rubber o-ring, that bolts to the Mustang fuel rail. For the F-Body, I just hooked right up to the Schrader valve on the fuel rail.

    Included in the kit:
    1 Nitrous Management Unit
    2 24" steel braided hose, -3AN
    1 3' steel braided hose, -4AN
    1 18' steel braided hose, -4AN
    1 Nitrous Nozzle
    1 1/8 NPT Bulkhead Fitting w/ nut
    1 Ford Fuel Rail Adaptor
    1 Spare Fuel Adaptor O-ring
    1 -4AN to 1/8 NPT Fitting
1 10lb Nitrous bottle w/Valve (has scratches on the back from the brackets)
    1 Bottle mount bracket (short)
    1 Bottle mount bracket (long)
    1 .026 N2O/Fuel Jet
    1 .030 N2O/Fuel Jet
    1 .034 N2O/Fuel Jet
    1 .038 N2O/Fuel Jet
    1 .040 N2O/Fuel Jet
    1 .043 N2O/Fuel Jet
    1 .046 N2O/Fuel Jet
    1 .054 N2O/Fuel Jet
    1 .067 N2O/Fuel Jet
    1 .083 N2O/Fuel Jet
    1 Power Point Arming Switch
1 Wire Harness w/ Lighted Red Toggle Arming Switch
1 Red Power wire (unsure of length, enough to go from driver's seat to engine bay)
    4 5/16-18 X 1" Bolt for bottle Brackets
4 5/16-18 Nut for Bottle Brackets
    4 5/16 Flat Washer
2 M5 x 40mm Hex Head Bolt (Unsure if I have this, there are extra bolts, but I don’t know the size)
2 M5 Washer (Don’t have these, I’m including 2 extra that fit the extra bolts)
4 Sheet Metal Screw (Holding the NMU to the Brackets)
    2 20A 32V Fuse
    1 10A 250V Fuse
    1 0.2A 250V Fuse

Extra stuff for the nitrous that isn't in the kit:
    20 Zip Ties
1 1" Aluminum Throttle Body Spacer (Blocks off coolant and tapped for nitrous nozzle)
3 Longer Studs for Throttle Body Spacer (for buyer of spacer)
1 Bottle Mount for the hatch
    2 Custom NMU Mounting Brackets
2 Self Tapping Bolts (Mounts NMU to passenger side inner fender, next to battery)
1 ZEX Nitrous Pressure Gage (Leaked off pressure, I tightened it, but didn't use it afterward)
1 Printed ZEX Nitrous Installation Instructions for the Mustang GT

    Not Included:
1 -4AN 90 deg. Swivel Fitting (supposed to be in the kit, but I do not have it)

Having the bottle mount, the throttle body spacer, and the NMU brackets already made will save you some hassle. If you don't want the TB Spacer, try to sell it to somebody. The bottle mount prolly isn't going to add a whole lot extra to the shipping cost. It's about 1.25" thick, and fits perfectly down inside the hatch hole, but that's up to the buyer. The NMU brackets are made to bolt up onto the passenger side wheel well using 2 existing holes in the cars sheet metal. I’ll also consider trades, just ask.

IF the kit sells and the buyer doesn't want the spacer, I'll sell it for $50+ shipping w/ 3 longer TB stud bolts. It's made from 1" thick aluminum stock that I had custom machined on a waterjet. It's a perfect fit. Will only sell if the nitrous sells, either here, or local.

Make offers, but don't lowball me too much.

      Re: Nitrous: ZEX Wet Kit

How hard of an install would this be on a 2000 Camaro V6? And how much would shipping be to 20785 (Landover, Maryland)?

        Re: Nitrous: ZEX Wet Kit

It's a very easy install. Shouldn't take more than a couple hours when you take your time. If you wanna get creative and hide the bottle in the spare tire hole, it'll take more time....

I'll calculate the shipping here in a little bit, I need to get the dimensions and weight again. I can't see it being too much. If shipping goes above $50, I'll split the cost with you. Sound fair?

EDIT: I can have an estimate from USPS' site by around 8:30-8:45, after I get somebody at home to measure and weigh the whole kit.

is additional hard ware needed for it to be mounted in the spare tire area? also what mods does the car you ran it on have? and how big of a shot did you use?

If you want to hid the bottle in the spare tire area, you'll have to make your own way to mount it in there since all I did was put it in the "trunk". Shouldn't be too hard to do though, you might just be able to mount the brackets to the sheet metal that holds the spare tire clamp. I really haven't looked into using that.

As for mods on my car, I really have minimal mods. I have done some work on the intake, K&N filter, removed the air baffles and MAF Screen, aluminum throttle body spacer, and a highflow cat. That's really about all I have for performance.

I only ran a 75 shot through mine.

Right now, I'm in Montgomery, the nitrous is sitting in Boone county though. Pretty far from you though.

                Dimensions:
                L = 31"
                W = 12.5"
                H = 13"

                Weight = 36.5 lbs.

                Estimated shipping from http://postcalc.usps.gov/ says:
Shipping from 25136 to 20785 is: $25.35 (w/ insurance and delivery confirmation)
Shipping from 25136 to 22408 is: $25.35 (w/ insurance and delivery confirmation)

And the box is extra, so if you guys wanna call it $400 even for everything, I'll take care of the rest.

Lol, I really need to not have this in 3-5 months.
                      I need:
                      Tires (mounted and ballanced)
Transmission rebuild (w/ new torque convertor)
                      Front Speakers
                      Lights in the head unit
Possibly rear shocks (haul alot of crap back and forth from school on weekends)

                      Cash talks people.

It has Zex's NMU (nitrous management unit) that acts as a WOT switch and controller. The box is programmed to match your throttle position sensor at WOT. It kicks open the fuel and nitrous solenoids inside the box at WOT. If the fuel pressure drops for any reason, it closes up the nitrous and the fuel solenoids.
