i just think the whole for sale section is ran like a freaking prison. you allow supporting members bumps, you set TIME LIMITS on bumps, i mean cmon dude. he is just trying to sell his crap give him a break. its just a forum. stop getting so agitated like its some drama in your life like "OMG he made another bump, thats it.. time to use my mod privelages"... give it a break son its just a website. bumps never hurt anyone.

There is a reason for moderators and rules, its not to just pretend like your a bad-*** and make up rules and whatnot..

if there were no rules and no moderator to enforce them everyone would bump their thread every 5 minutes and not let others have a chance to sell.

It is just a website but he is trying to keep things fair and in order and when he asked someone plenty of times to not do something and they refuse to follow the rules he is allowed to do what he wants with the thread, everyone needs to seriously get over it

Look, I do this to keep the playing field level. Have you ever tried selling something on CZ28.com, or LS1Tech.com? Its rediculous. Everyone bumps every hour or so, and if you make a post, you're lucky if it stays on the first page after 24 hours. I tried selling the Firebird on CZ28.com, and it didn't even go 12 hours before it was on page 3, because EVERYONE bumped their own thread.

I do the bumps like this because it gives time for everyone to have their thread within the top 5 or so for a certain amount of time. If you don't generate interest in it within a week, then you can put it back to the top, THREE MORE TIMES, before you are out of bumps. If you can't generate interest in a part or whatever you are selling within a month of keeping it within the first two pages, chances are, NO ONE WANTS IT, and its time for you to relinquish your hold on the first pages. Give it a month or two, and try again. Now for supporting members, they are allowed one bump per day, because, well, someone asked for it. I was against it, but I figure if you pop $10, I guess you can bump it once a day. But twice, or three times or more a day, its repetitive, and hurts everyone trying to sell something.

Dave, you don't get the whole point of view here. You won't get it, so you kinda have to trust what I say. I hear the complaints, you don't. Personally, I get tired of seeing the same thread about some two dollar part that no one wants, but the guy is DETERMINED to sell it, so he keeps bumping, and bumping, and bumping, and other people start threads of their own for parts that MIGHT actually sell, but he seems as tho that is irrelevant, and his post should be on top. So his two dollar part that no one wants not only f***ed himself, because everyone is tired of seeing it, but has now f***ed the other people that posted after him. It them becomes a back and forth thing, and turns into a forum just like cz28.com, no control, no regulating, utter chaos. Not real fair for anyone really.

BTW, don't act like I just sit here and wait for someone to break the rules. I told Blip THREE times not to do it, and after I locked one post, he STARTED another, and I still allowed it, but told him that he cannot bump like he did, and that if he did, that I would lock his post. He said ok, three days later, did it again, so I locked it. Im not without my flexibility, but when you make me look like a fool, what the hell else do you leave me to do? I was more than fair, and everyone else here sees that.

One bump a day is plenty generous considering the amount of traffic our for sale section gets. It's likely to stay on the first page for a week or more. Anything more than that would be ridiculous. It is how it is for a reason, so deal with it.
