Yeah, what's up? I thought this place was sponsoring you and everything... they made absolutely sure they picked the right person for this buildup...

Re: COME Racing 4.2L Stroker Setup

I wanted results from this build more than anyone. I have discussed every possibility and did everything I could in an attempt to keep the project going.

To make a long story short My wife required a surgery that insurance paid next to nothing on and every cent I had went to paying for the surgery including cashing in my retirement, selling tons of stuff I owned, selling all my stocks I held, opened a care credit account, and putting 2 credit cards into debt settlement.

I thought long and hard weighing all options and I have in fact discussed this with Jack and he is fully aware of everything going on. I sold the transmission and Gen V blower already. ZZP is picking up the Grand Prix on Wednesday and I'm currently selling the heads right now on a few sites.

I appoligize to everyone that was expecting big numbers from this build as I was as well. I hope the block goes to someone that does the right thing with it and gets it up and running with HUGE numbers VERY soon.

2007 Kicked me repeatedly while I was down and I'm ready to pick myself back up and regroup. Blame me if you wish I had every intention of completing this and breaking the Gen V record that Intense still holds to this day, but family comes first end of story!

You get no blame from any of us here. I was hoping good numbers too, but family first.

Re: COME Racing 4.2L Stroker Setup

                    Thanks for the support everyone.

I've been in the F-body/3800II realm for years now owned 3 F-Bodies and 2 GTPs.

I keep them and have lots of fun with them until I can't keep them any longer, but somehow I always return to them.....

At this stage in my life unless some miracles happen it may be quite some time before I'm back in the world, but I will never leave the message boards.

I still "own" some stake w/ Wes so I'll still always have my heart in it.

Shirl, Wes or anyone that has MAJOR plans on making big numbers and setting records let me know I'm not "set" on the 4kish price tag that's just what seemed fair based on what I have into the setup even including my discount for sponsorship.

The Stroker Kit itself runs just under 3k new.....

Yeah, I'm sorry to hear that. I know exactly what you're going through.

My wife is going to have an open heart surgery by the middle of this year. We're pretty much broke ourselves.

I'll keep your wife in my prayers.

Re: COME Racing 4.2L Stroker Setup

Thor thanks a lot we'll keep your wife in our prayers as well!

Found out more "good" news this week.....

Apparently my mechanic was arrested from something crazy from Florida 15+ years ago and in jail so I have no one that can complete the build.

I "believe" I can still get in the shop to get the block/parts so it's still for sale unless I hear otherwise.

With the recent update looking for:

$3500 OBO Picked up as it sits, again short block is done just needs covers, timing chain, water pump etc installed.

If it were in the 10.1-10.5:1 CR range I would be takeing you up on your offer. I wanna stay N/A with my bulid. Ive had a lot of unfortunate things happen to me lately. Just keep a postive mental attitude. You do that and things will start turning around.

Re: COME Racing 4.2L Stroker Setup

This kit although would work well N/A is setup to take boost. With the current cam it would respond best to Supercharger/Nitrous, but with a simple cam swap it would be ready for a Turbo!

I have faith that this kit will take every bit of 20+PSI and Nitrous on top of that, but someone just needs to PROVE that. I was going to run a 2.6" pulley on the Gen V blower, intercooled, and keep upping the nitrous as long as the fuel supported and the KR stayed down!

I was aiming for a goal of 600HP to the wheels in a FWD GTP and do not believe that is anywhere out of reason!
