Re: Viper 791XV Remote start/Alarm
im pretty sure...heres a dude who did it on his supra.
I installed it in my Supra almost 10 years ago and I am still using it.
- Use e-brake ground wire as the remote module ground wire => If brake isn't engage, no ground to the module, it won't work and can't start.
- Put a Normally Close (NC) lever switch or 2 by the shifter and link it to the e-brake wire above => If the shifter is on up position (1st gear), that set the switch and disconnect the above wire. No ground to the remote starter module, it won't work.
- Use a relay to by pass the clutch safety switch. Normally, most remote module has output signal during start and running. Use it to connect/disconnect (depend on car) the clutch safety switch.
That's all it take, no other procedure/step needed to use it other than push the button to start. With in the past 10 years, I have no problem with the above method.

I had it installed on my 97' Maro 5 spd.
By the way, this is an excellent deal... I know the "cost" price of this unit is pretty close to his asking price, but retail vary's between 500-700, so you'd get a very nice alarm for 150 bux*Matt
