Would the pcm work with no modifications on a 96 bird. I dont know anything about the computers yet? Also what would it cost just for the pcm?

Just the PCM is what I'd send you so change in price. Its a plug and play piece, it will work if you have a manual tranny.

changes that will happen are going to be:

your engine fans will turn on quicker

you will be able to go faster than 118MPH

your speedo will be calibrated for 3.42 gears or code GU6. You can change this stuff by HPtuners.

97 PCM tuned for no speed limiter, 3.42 gears and 160 thermo $80

GM 30or32mm (I'll check later on exact size of this one) front sway bar $50

So the PCM will remove the speed limiter? The 3.42's are for Series 2 or 3? Is the Sway bar different from stock?

I think he means that the PCM is set up for a car that has 3.42 gears and a 160 thermo, and that the speed limiter is removed on the pcm. The 97 PCM won't work on 95 or earlier cars FYI.
