Yes it would be perfect for someone whos A/C doesnt work or someone who just wants to ditch their A/C all together. It bolts in place of the A/C pump/pulley. It will free up acouple HP and depending on how much of the A/C system you take out you can drop almost 50lbs off the front of the car.
Crank pulley to 78516 would be $26 shipped, sorry no good pics yet as I havnt pulled it off... As for the A/C delete pulley its a direct swap, no re-routing and you can use the same belt. Took me less than 20 minutes to put mine on.
can you just give me an overview of what i need to do to pull off the old pulley/compressor and put on the new? i would appreciate it. I am sending payment asap.
There is 3 bolts in the front of the compressor/pulley and only 1 in the back if I remember correctly. The only real trick is knowing if you still have freon in the line. If you do then your sapposed to have a pro to remove it. There is a schrader valve on the line wich you could test it though.
yeah "apparently" the freon was removed from the a/c so looks like i'm golden!
once i get out the 3 bolts does that whole compressor just slide right out? can i just throw it into the garbage cuz i don't want it anymore. btw, there are 2 metal tubes that are connected to the back of the compressor, is this also a/c related and can i junk that as well?
thanks
max
btw, money sent! let me know when u ship, my address is
