This is a 1964-1968 block. Currently disassembled and components stored in oil. Great for a resto, project, cheap practice engine (what i got it for). I bought it being told it ran. This is a long-block, which is oil pan to cylinder heads. Ask me a question if you have one.
By practice engine I meant I WAS going to rebuild it myself and use it to learn. However, I got it, put the parts in oil and havent touched them (about 2 weeks ago).

My buddy also used a 283 to use as a "practice" engine for his 79 camaro. That motor didn't have much bottom end ( he used wrong cam), but it would scream and run to 6000rpm with ease. Also got a killer gas mileage behind a Turbo 350 and 2.41 rear.
283 into a 383....I'd like to see that. I've heard them made into a 327, but nothing higher.
Hello every one, ozzy here ive been looking at this page for weeks now finally joined. So my question is why is it that every turbo build forum just ends...
