I have a stock cat for a 3.8L Camaro or Firebird. It was removed when I got my new exhaust installed. It is less than a year old and follows CA emissions. New they go for $600. I'm looking for $200. Local pick up only. Much too heavy to ship.

Re: FS: Used stock 3800 cat
ahhahahahhahahahaha, 600 bucks new? I think you mean a fairly expensive catback exhaust is 600 bucks new, these cats are sold used for around 100 tops depending on size to a scrap yard, new high flow ones can be had for 50-75 bucks, now quit trying to scam people.1999 Firebird W68<br /> <a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/ride/995565\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/ride/995565</a> <br />-Derek

Re: FS: Used stock 3800 cat
They are $600 new from GM. But that's because it includes a replacement Y-pipe, cat, and I-pipe. I think the bill was $674 when I had to get a new one, but fortunately GM reimbursed it.
Either way, the OP is better off hanging onto it until scrap prices go back up.'99 Camaro

Re: FS: Used stock 3800 cat
Magnaflow will sell you an OBD2 compliant (legal in Cali) with a manderel bent y-pipe for $500. P/N 46494. Summit has them. My converter is rattling, and when it throws a code I am going to buy one. Alternatively you can get the P/N 26494 it is 49 state legal but isnt loaded (legal) for California equipped cars. It costs less, and is physically the same so you wont fail the physical inspection. You probably would pass the sniff as well, but I dont know that for certain. I live in TX so I dont have to pass the Cali sniff. Magnaflow and Random tech both agree the 49 state unit will function adequately for the PCM to be happy. This is just an FYI
