It came off a rear ended 3.8L SII. I found it while browsing a part lot. Damn, I can't put an image of the car in my mind, sorry. I do remember the mileage on the car written on the windshield though, 20,000miles.
As for benefits, It doesn't protrude into the TB as much as stock, and it's an open hole vs. the closed stock. I would assume it offers improved airflow over stock, since it's not as restrictive. Let me know if you're interested, I'd be happy to pull some scans off my car with the unit in vs my stock one to make sure the MAF frequencies are similar.
