      should have quoted bigair
      he said 3.42s didnt come in autos.
      I do have a nice one for sale minus brakes for $300
      shipping isnt real bad with Forward Air

        Stock Gear Ratios:
        M6: 3.42
        A4 Standard: 2.73 (GU2 code on the door sticker)
        A4 Performance Axel: 3.23 (GU5 code on the door sticker)
        WS6 and SS models came with 3.23s.
        Your A4 did not come with 3.42s.
        If your sticker is gone you tell which gears you have by your highway rpms:
        3.23s @ 2000 rpm = 67 mph; 2.73s @ 2000 rpm = 80 mph
        3.15s were available in A4 Vettes

          if it has the y87 package it has 3.42s, most v6's didnt, but some do.

              I have rear end, with 3.42's on a zexel torsen differential for whoever wants one. Entire rear end with disc brakes. Make me an offer.

                check marshallautoparts.com... they had some Y87 parts last time I was there. That's where I got my Y87 steering rack from.

                They're located in circleville

                  camarokid.. is the rearend in pretty good shape? My rearend is starting to whine and thats why i want a new one. i just dont want to buy something thats not any better than what i have. and i bet shipping would be a good bit of money..

                    Yeah shipping would be a lot, and now my dad doesnt want to get rid of it incase i break my other one. Sorry.

                        i've messed with switching gears before and decided from now on im just going to switch the whole rearend if i can.

                          I have a 10 bolt with 3:42 aftermarket gears and detroit tru-trac differential. $400 and you can come pick it up. I had to upgrade for the 6.0 large frame turbo build so I wont be needing this any longer. pm me if interested. Rear disc brakes its out of a 00 firebird
