Need Used Engine

Hi all,
So I blew a rod in my 96 3.8 series 2 on my way back to school after Christmas break, and now I'm in need of a good used engine. I'm in central ohio. Preferrably under 100,000 miles, but will consider all. Best I found around here had 118000 for $600. BTW, blew mine at 123,000. Pretty sure it was a rod as I heard pieces go through my exhaust and misfiring but still barely runs, and it leaked its oil pretty bad.

different motor, different mounts, different harness, etc. not a simple direct replacement swap

Found one in Groveport, OH with around 7X,XXX miles. Place called DAW automotive. Guy named Charlie said he's got three and will sell one for $700 and $300 more if I wanted him to put it in. Pretty sure I'm going to let him do it because I'm in school right now and don't have the time. Warranty 30 days in case something comes up with the engine. He also said if I wanted to buy a full set of gaskets, he'd put them in too. I've never swapped an engine personally, so is there anything worth doing/knowing before I give him the car?

$300 is a great price for the install if they are reputable. Check them out with the BBB or Yelp before dropping a grand.

My fault, The company name is BAW Automotive Repair. They aren't registered on BBB, they are a really small family owned company. Pretty much three brothers and a garage. Opened about 2 years ago. Going to have to stop by and take a look at this one first.

I got one out of a 97. 130000 miles. Ran when parked. Asking $350
