• WTB: 98+ Firebird or 96-98 Camaro

I am trying to buy back my original firebird, but I'm having an increasingly difficult time, so I am in the market for another one. I'm definitely looking for a high mileage car, but I am really interested in anything.

    Manuals only!!

If you want to build the car and make it fast as hell, A4 is your best bet. Stock for stock, sure maybe the M5 has an advantage, but when you start modding man just can't shift as fast as machine. Especially with that Y87 package man. You should go for it, just my opinion though. If only an M5 will make you happy then so be it. Just my two cents.

Let me Sweeten the Deal for you! It currently has 4 Years and 42K on the Clock. It is protected by a VERY GOOD Warranty that covers EVERYTHING Until 2008 or 60K! It is Transferrable(sp) for $50.

I Payed a good chunck of change for that Warranty! The tires are less than 2 months old!It does have exhaust problems now (read my other post here?) That is incase I can't sell it before I go way down south! :D

One of the Welds before the high-flow cat was not done too good, and has to be re-done.

Get me by my e-mail or AOL IM listed in my profile.

I really wish I could be happy with an auto, but I only race 10 or 15 days out of the year, and the other 350 days I'm driving around town. Auto may be best for racing, but manual is what makes me excited for the end of the day so that I can go drive.

I'm not knocking autos at all, I'm just addicted to the stick (not a dirty joke ;) ).

Those warranties are awesome though- thats what kept me going through all the transmission and rear end problems of my old baby.

Seriously though, thanks for the offer.

                  yo, Joe!

i'll keep an eye out for you. got spending limits?

what's up with your old firebird? last i heard you had a problem with rear, i think, or maybe it was the tranny, and had to sell the s/c.

                  good luck!

Hey man! Yea, i had to have the tranny and rear end replaced. Thats why my parents made me sell it and buy an import (cringe!). But, I figure I can buy a v6 with my own money and keep it off the road for a few months while I make it fast.

My spending limit is actually pretty low, like not much over 5 or 6 grand. Thats kind of why I'm looking for a slightly older one. My ideal car would be one with engine trouble, so that I can pull the engine and do what I want to it. I have an extra garage stall at school for it, so I can take my sweet time.

I'm still in Indiana for the most part, only a little over a year and a half left there, then I get to come home and race 1-2 times a week like the good ol' days!

On a side note, the way you dyed your seats way back when inspired me to do the same to some recliners of mine at school- very cool.

Definitely keep those eyes peeled man, thanks a bunch!

I have a 98 Firebird I am interested in selling. 3.8, A4, 91k. I have only had it 5 weeks and it ended up not being what I need to drive on a daily basis. I would like to get a few hundred more than I paid for it which is under your 5-6k you want to spend. It has developed a slight engine noise though, but we could deal if you would be interested even though it's an auto.
