is he sure about this ? because i think a v6 STOCK muffler just isn't enough to handle 310 HP . it will create backpressure and he might end up getting a z28 which is "sleepy".... :D

there is only two ways to make a v8 a sleeper. nitrous or heads and a mild cam. honestly why would you want a quiet v8? i like the fact that muscle cars rumble and shake the ground for all to hear.

anyways...i might have my stock exhaust off here soon.

Thanks for the feedback guys, he definitely wants a v6 single outlet muffler.. i offered him my stock exhaust but its duals due to the Y87 package.. he doesnt want his car to look like a v8, he wants it to appear to be a v6 at first glance, hes even put plain Camaro badges on the z28... not sure what his motive is behind this.. if i had a v8 I'd want the world to know and hear it.. he also told me that the factory v8 exhaust robs you of power due to the way its designed and the v6 exhaust is less restrictive?? i have no idea.. doesnt sound right to me...sounds wild to me.. but oh well.. and thanks again... but if you have a single outlet v6 muffler.. shoot me an email at shrtness05@yahoo.com
Thanks

he does realize going from 2.75 inch exhaust to 2.25 is going to kill rob him of power right? i dont know where he got his info but he's out of his mind and completely wrong. if he wants it to look like a v6 tell him to go to slp and get a SLP TOTL(two on the left)

either way you need to beat him with a stick.

out of curiosity how old is your boy friend? 14?

Well, 2.75 to 2.25 is NOT going to help him out, AT ALL. If he wants a sleeper LOOKING car, get a flowmaster 40 (single in/out) and weld on a turn down. If he wants stock sound, he'll have to throw a resonator or two in the I pipe.

OR, if he can find a stock truck muffler or something, that may help.
