hey chopper, wanted to share something with you. had same problem. throwing a code in my 3.4 f.b. bought a used egr from ebay. guy swore it was good. nope. it still coded. so i got 2 egrs valves, original and used and still a code.. i was told the internals are quite different then some other egrs that look same. you know the computer and egr stragedies have to match. other wise a code. so even though the egr looks like a fit, it might not be worth getting a used one. internals will throw a code. I could of bought a defective egr too but at this point im stuck with 2 coding valves. just sharing. any thoughts guys? oh btw its a solenoid nbr 3 code on both valves. and yes the wiring is good. scanner shows command "to open" and it doesnt. dang it! u need two? cheap ones? lol .. good luck.
