you can just take a pair of plyers and wiggle the fins out of the inside of your stock lid. Just grab it low and wiggle, work your way from one side to the other until it comes out. Go over it with a heavy grit sand paper untill all are flat and then smooth it with a fine grit sand paper. I did it to mine in like half hour.
