exactly what the title says...looking to trade my 10 bolt, Auburn posi rear end with richmond 3.73's for another 10 bolt rear with posi and 3.23's...Located in upstate NY...will drive far enough to still be able to get the rear end swap done within a full day

I have a limited slip with 3.23s in my 97 Y87 camaro. You want the 3.23s right? I'll take some 3.73s, I'll def. need them once I get my transmission in with that long 1st

I live about 15 minutes from albany...you get off exit 11 heading north on I-87 and im right off that exit

My rear end has 15K on it.

also hasto be a 98-02 camaro....cause of rear brake reasons.

yea it was out of a 99 TA does your car have disks on it or drums? mine has disks so if it is disks I think we can work something out... any noises out of the rear? let me know if you are interested...

yup disc's....not a single noise or vibration from the rear...the posi and gears were profesionally installed.

your car have traction control cause if you do wed have to swap brake set ups cause I dont but that wont be hard... The rear is installed but I can pull it this friday and could be up to you on saturday I have an explorer and the camaro isnt on the road yet so let me know what you would like to do I could get pics for you tonight if you want to shoot me some that would be great...

yah i wanna do this...i believe it does have traction control..i have a second gear start and sometimes i get a Low Trac light that comes on when my tires are spinning....so you know how to do a rear end swap pretty easily then?? I have done almost everything else besides a cam, and a rear end install.

I dont really need pics. As long as everything works well and nothing is bent, i dont care what it looks like.

My car wasnt driven in winter so theirs no rust on it at all and like i said...the gears and posi have only been in there for 15K and they were installed by a professional. The only thing is, I do not have ABS brakes anymore with this differential because their wasnt a Reluctor ring installed with the 3.73's....I dont know if that makes you change your mind about it?? but I personally didnt notice a difference with having ABS and not having it.

I could start taking it off early saturday morning starting at like 10 and you wouldnt hafto come untill later...you could just drop it off to me even and take mine and just leave you wont hafto hang around for anything.

ok well first for the ABS does the rear have reluctor rings on the axles behind the rotors (they are visible by taking the rotors off) also their would be sensors mounted on the backing plates I could send you pics if need be but if you get underneath and look they should be pretty obvious, for the traction control you can tell if it has TC by looking at the brake setup on the car if it has two hoses running to the rear if not it is a non TC rear so take a few pics for me please so I know exactly what i am working with... my rear has been painted so you get an added bonus :)

It doesnt have reluctor rings on the rotors I dont believe...im talking about the reluctor ring on the differential itself right underneath the gear.

I will look at everything tomarrow during the day and let you know whats up.

the reluctor rings will not be on the rotors, they are on the axles right after the backing plates but this is only for TC rears i believe so If your rear isnt TC then I guess im poop out of luck with the abs but let me know on that tommorow, out of curiosity is the ABS light on in the car? cause I can probably rig something so the ABS light wouldnt be on but again just let me know tommorow

yah the ABS light and the break light are on in the car at all times.

All i know is that when i had my 3.73's and the Auburn differntial, the mechanic called me and said that i was missing a reluctor ring on the differential and he wanted to know if i wanted to go through with the install still or not because I wouldnt have ABS anymore....so i dont think i have TC on the rear then?? I dunno, i will look today and let you know.
