  • left rear light housing for 2000 firebird/TA

The left rear housing that holds all the taillights is nasty looking- water got in there somehow and it is a lot dimmer than the right one.

I was wondering if any of you all know someone who has this part that I could salvage from them.

Why not first try filling it up with some dishsoap and water and swishing it around really good, then rinsing it out real good, and letting it dry near a heat source, then run a bead of silicon around the edge preventing it from leaking further?

You would actually be able to pinpoint the leak when you filled the tail light up and know where to put the silicon.

Did that already and it didn't work too well.
