    Re: trunk release

Lol, I had the motor assembly up until about 2 months ago. I got tired of it not selling in my thread, so we used it for a hood release on dad's 71 Camaro. Completely custom setup. Sorry man, but I'll keep an eye out.

Check the parting out thread in the for sale section.

        Re: trunk release

The motor is just an actuator. It attaches to a little metal bracket with 2 screwbolts. It should have 3 wires coming out of it too. One is a signal wire to the light in the dash that says the trunk is open. The other 2 are your power and ground. You can test the actuator with those 2 wires and a battery. If it pops then it's still good, if not then it needs replaced. If it doesn't need replaced it's prolly your switch. Hope this helps.

And if you dont have any of this stuff and are wanting to retrofit it onto your car, it should be pretty close to a direct fit, but I know some of the earlier model 4th gens had a different actuator on there. My 99 and my friends 2001 actuators are differen than the ones found on a 94. If you have one, check for a part number and look on GMPartsDirect.com
