looking for one, I have a 98 curved and its a pain in the *** to pipe the intake from the lid to the TB. I prefer a straight design.

Originally posted by Scotts98 View Posto well screw that then. I'll stick with what I got and make it work somehow. Currently I have a short ram but with the SS hood I want to go from the lid to the TB with some custom setup. I suppose I could just use a flexible hose. There's so many things about the 98 that are a pain now I wish I bought a 99+
and ya most ppl just use flex hose

Re: 99 & up straight throttle body
. it does significantly slow air flow down.
what you can do is. go to lows or home d-pow and get some smooth hose (its black and its pretty thick.)
i dont know the term for the hose.
but its the same hose they use for te smooth bellows for the ls1's

Re: 99 & up straight throttle body
It does slow air down, but NOT significantly... basically you wouldn't notice the difference
If you can make it work with smoother piping, by all means go for it... but don't think that smooth is your only option, bc like I said, the difference isn't going to be enough for you to notice... the air changing direction has much more effect on it's flow than the texture of the inside of the pipingLast edited by T-Mill; 07-05-2009, 03:06 PM.Rebuilding the engine...
