I am looking to find a Rebuild or low mileage 4L60 I have a 1993 Trans Am. I am located in Eastern Connecticut!

You might have better luck posting this question on LS1.com or LS1tech.com. Much larger active membership there and more people that can do the work. Only a few here can even rebuild an auto trans.

just change the fluid
flush it

whatever method you wish to do.
id do first before you start looking for looking for rebuilt ones.

getting a rebuilt one or a new one is going to be significantly HIGHER than doing the maint.

That is what I am going to do first. Just trying to figure out if I should do it myself - my concern is getting ALL the old fluid out.

basically I want to get all the old crap out and put the best fluid in I can get and the best filter. Anything more in depth I will have to take it to the tranny place...

If you have the area to do it... rebuilding one's not that hard... I did it for the first time on the tranny for my 89 Blazer last summer... you may be able to find a rebuild video on eBay as well as a rebuild kit... might be something to look into, could save yourself a few hundred bucks...

There are a few things that you may not be able to do bc it requires a special tool, but when you get to that point you may be able to find a shop that will loan you the tool, or do like I did and take that part to a shop and have them do it... they charged me like $20 to set the seals for me at Independent Transmission

Well I had the tranny diagnosed today and I have no 2nd gear and it is not throwing any codes.

I have a rebuit 4L60E that only has about 15,000 miles on it. I was wanting $600.

I don't think a 4L60E will work in my 1993 that hs a 4L60???
