Re: Hello from a new member
I fixed race cars for some 15 years for cookies. literally. I would be a second faster if I lost all that weight.
Well the race day wasn't good.
First pass in the morning humidity a 16.01 2.38 60(76F 70%) .
Second pass a 15.987 2.31 60(80F 50%)
I dial a 16.08 as thing always slows down in the time between the last timed pass and the first race. It is 82F and 45%.
I was pleased with .03 and .05 lights (really good for me to be so consistent)
I do the same routine every time, good water temp, I stage just into the light and cut another .05.
The thing just falls down as I am bending the floor board watching a pick up truck drive away. 16.397 2.8 60, slow the whole way. And no there is no floor mat to get under the throttle.
I bought back. I dialed a .25 for kicks. I cut another .05 and run away. I brake a hundred feet out and coast through for a 16.117. Had to be a 15.8 pass.
I was thinking a 1968 Firebird with a 350 carbureted engine and a powerglide about this time.
If it weren't for my crew chiefs attachment to the car..........
Sorry, long winded again.
