Thanks for the warm invite man. Well to start its a 1997 silver camaro with everything stock and the engine was ceased and blown, when i say blown i mean. the intake gasket was blown. head gasket was blown. and there were bits of rods and pistons in the oil pan. The oil was silver (SILVER) haha the coolant was black and the tranny fluid was literally SLUDGE. color was black btw.:omg:

I put a socket and a torque bar on the harmonic balancer and could not move it more than 2 inches for the life of me.
-In Turn =]:stp: took the block and had a whole new engine built. had it freshly bored. (roughly 5 over) and had high compression pistons put in. had a new cam put in it. and everything else is basically stock in terms of specs.
-I bought new tires a rims for 60 bucks =]
      -front two=5$
      -Back Two=15$ and rims were 50$ =]
-Rear gears are 3.23's (y87 package i think)
-I also kept the tranny.(just flushed it and put synthetic in)
I think i made out pretty well in terms of Cost and price. all and all i got a FULLY working camaro for around

      1900 bucks.
      --

It's definitely good to hear you have your **** together. Oh hell, you're from Toledo. I'm in perrysburg but close enough. Welcome to the site man.

So what do you really want to do with it now? Performance, general bolt on's, general maintenance?

Not to get too far ahead of myself but if you ever get to the point where you need a tune, I've already got HP tuners. Just keep that thought in your back pocket.

thanks for all the replies guys =]. I already feel at home on this website. its literally the best place for info regarding ours cars. But yeah man. I kept the old
                      tranny (the black tar/sludge bucket)
and put some of that Lucas trans fix. which to my suprise actually revived. the d*mn thing. ha so i was astonished at that.

hmm but yeah. i have pics now =] all i have to do now is get the info cord and import them into my machine. and blizzard.
thanks man. I will definitly keep that in mind. (i have no idea how hp tuners works and would be willing to learn some things about it. but yeah (the ecm in my vehicle is completely stock.

took out the ac the other day and put a shorter belt on it.
the only things really left to do now is buf out some scratched here and there and get my exhaust put on. =D

to my surprise. i actually churped second today. =O

would you all be supporting my theory in this.

(this winter) i buy stiffer springs and struts for the back and load the car with about 200-300 lbs of weight to increase traction. sound like a plane? what does everybody do when its slick outside and your driving an f body?

                            shocks, not struts sir.

other than weighing down the back, only thing you can really do is get decent winter tires and be as careful as possible haha.

personally, when the weather outside gets frightful....i park it and drive the nearest SUV :D.

I am too scared to drive my car in OH winters. But good luck!
