  • Job scam??

Ive been thinking of getting a part time job while in school...I would much rather prefer something I can do at my own pace and online...since my school schedule this year absolutly sucks balls...anyways, I stumbled across a bunch of these adds on kijiji (I know, who looks for a job on kijiji? I was bored) So ya, I found a few of these jobs were people say you pay like 10$ to get some premium list or something, and then you work for a bunch of companies responding to emails. Each email/application you respond to pays you 10-20$...sounds all fine and dandy...you have an option to be paid via paypal, or through cheques. (I would take paypal so that I dont have to worry about anything bouncing)

Anyone ever done anything like this before? I kinda get the scam feeling from these posts...but I mean at worst if I tried it out, I'd loose what, 10$? that doesnt seem all THAT bad...if it's legit it would be nice...I mean, Im not pressed for cash at the moment, but I should be probably be finding a job soon...I got enough cash in the bank to last me a few months anyways...

anyone have any experience with these? any input?

    Re: Job scam??

If your talking about earning money by reading emails its a legit thing, i do that and earn around like 10-30 extra dollars a month.

and check out mechanical turk, google it. I earn like 30-40 bucks a month there too.

    extra cash is extra cash.

I would like to knoww also since I'm bored pretty much all day since my back usally hurts most of the time. I got scammed fro $20 back in 01' , send a check for $20 and then they send you a list of people your suppose to put their names on post cards which were buisnesses, called after a 2 weeks got a answering machine called after a month phone disconnected and tried to cancell the check but to late. Please PM me if you find out any more info, I could use the extra cash since my wife still isn't working and I could use the extra cash so I can get my turbo installed since I can't do it. Thanks Also depends if they are hard emails to answer because with my meds and the stroke I mistype alot and sometimes misunderstand some things or read it wrong. Is $30 the most you can make please PM me with the details, I'll get me wife off her lazy @ss, been off since I think since march now doing nothing, really pissing me off, not even looking for a job either(spoiled).

My brother bought me a PS3 last year because i was laid up in bed for months at a time, I just got bored playing the games. I'm just sick of staying at home taking 35 pills a day, its been over 2 years now. I get my heart scoped with a camara on the Sept. 28th , then they will decide if they will fix my heart, andthen I can go and try to see if they can fix my back, one Mayo Clinic surgen said most likely no it might make it worse or do nothing at all but I'm tired of taking so many pain kllers, muslce relaxers, nerve blockers ,blood thinners, because I can't think straight most of the time, and when I want to say something I get words mixed up and it sounds stupid. So I'm just tired, its like the Dr's just want to see you for visits rather than solve the problem. So will see if they can fix me where I'm not hurting all the time and not taking alot of meds so where I can at least get a job working like 4 hours a day , thats what the Neruologists said I could only do, once I get to where I'm not in pain anymore and not taking alot of narcotics.

The training guide and additional information will be sent to you upon collection of your payment.
You will be able to start immediately.

So I then sent him :

                    Thank you for your response.

I am quite interested, but I have just a few more questions. What is the absolute minimum you would get paid per application? Is there any special skills or knowledge you would need to fill out any of these applications? Also, I am a very fast typer, on average, how long are these applications supposed to take you? Is it possible to do these in 5-10 minutes, or is each one something you need to allocate about 1 hour to do?

                    Thanks,
                    And he replied by saying:

                    Hi,
Yes,you will get $10-$20 for a application,No special skill is require for this,If you know basic computer knowledge is enough for this job,And It's take only 5mins to finish one application,You are a fast typer,so it's very easy to do. I will send you the training guide when you send fee for this.

Think its worth a shot? I mean its only 10$ if it doesnt work out right? What is the worst that can happen?

I kinda feel like this is too good to be true...I mean, at 5 mins an application, and a minimum of 10$...I could fire off easily 40 applications a day on my 3 hour spares between class at school alone!...thats good for a minimum of 400$ a day...

I dont believe it...but part of me really, really wants to sign up and try it...I mean, if its legit, then damn.

Whatever you do, do not give them your credit card number for the $10. If they won't let you pay the $10 through paypal. It's a scam.

Reading emails for money. You sign up, and tell them your interests, smart to choose every interest there is, they will send you more emails that way. and they pay you 1c-3c a email. You click the link in the email and leave the page open while the counter at the top goes to 0. once it hits 0 it credits your account on the page the money. and most webpages have a 5 or 10 dollar minimum before they will transfer your money. and you just keep doing it over and over.

i do it in between classes at school. i have a 5 hours break between my morning class and night class, and its too far to drive home for 5 hours. so i just read emails and make money. its not much but hey extra money is extra money.
