Dead?

What happended to this place? I still check in here from time to time and try to help out and sell any un-used parts or w/e I can but theres no one here anymore? Seems all the tech section is dead.

What gives? People move on?

the cars are getting old... the people who cared about them are selling them... and i still dont think we have a 5th v6 owner on here

Ive been through 3 of these cars.. Will not buy another I bought my 99 bird in 06 after I crashed my girls 95 bird and sold my 96 camaro around that time.

My car still has less then 100k on it. Running strong. Its a much better car now that I replaced the near 5 year old pass window motor and the stock driver motor. LMAO.

Full Throttle is my main V6 board but this site is just dead compared to it. I came over here looking for a ash tray lid :p

i came here because i can search records and find almost anything i need to know about my car... i dont see as much helpful stuff on ftv6

also ftv6 has more than just f-bodys so that helps (and hurts when u look for info)

Im not gonna argue anything about FTV6 versus this site. But I usually only come over here to sell or buy things.

Just thought it looked very dead compared to FTV6 and very much lacking on the boards. I always try to stop in and offer advice in threads when needed but there just isnt anything here to offer advice too lol.

Oh and FTV6 opended up to More then just Fbodys recently in an attempt to gain more members and more support in the V6 world. Seems logical. almost like a little LS1tech. which I might add is another good place for parts but everyone needs a ashtray lid over there lol.

im not saying ftv6 is bad or putting it down.... i just find all that i need here so i dont use it.

i wouldnt call this place dead... if u have a serious question/problem then u will get answers... some ppl only respond to the really serious stuff

All fbody sites have been slowing down in the past 2 or 3 years. All of the random members leave and you are left with what is essentially a small core of posters. Some sites have more than others, but this has been the trend.

i dont think its dead here at all, everytime i have an issue i always find an answer and or solution, and have bought stuff from other members. like venom said ftv6 is anyone who has a v6, this is just for v6 f-bodys which is why most of us hare here, we have v6 f-bodys

All fbody sites have been slowing down in the past 2 or 3 years. All of the random members leave and you are left with what is essentially a small core of posters. Some sites have more than others, but this has been the trend.

I wouldnt say its dead...alot of older members have moved on, or stopped posting because they've modded their car to their liking...most of the guys on here are looking for info and actively modding (or atleast trying to)

Ive seen quite a few members recently do cam swaps...I wouldn't necessarily say that it is slowing down, as much as I would say that some people may have finally learned to use the search button...theres a lot of info on here.

Im the opposite of you...I go on FTV6 mainly for the canadian site, and to buy/sell...I find it harder to find info over there...I usually find what I need over here...if not, then I go to FTV6. Its a good site to, don't get me wrong...I just have a harder time finding info on it...

besides...maybe if you came around a little more often, it wouldnt be as "dead" :P

^ Damm your deicated Van, I think it is steady on here and I always find old posts to refer back on here there will be some FI cars and nitrous cars posting more in a few months. Most of the members on ftv6 were on here before going over there , they just have old screen names, figure 12,000 members here 5-6000 over there including their other v6 sections. Really don't have the arguements here because the mods are really cool and most people really get along, and have fun joking around sometimes, well most of the time.LOL I'm not bashing them because I can still go and read their posts and search over there, but I don't like how they treat members instead of helping them if their not known.

we just need a little spark in the community...would be nice if someone could come out with a new product to boost our performance a little more...would definetly get more people deeper into to modding...problem is, is whats out there is expensive, and alot of it is mediocre at best...
