i hate my life. i was suppose to be going to parris island in less than a month. but stupid me wanted to play tackle football yesterday. and screwed my chances of ever becoming a united states marine. all i remember was getting handed off the ball running up the middle and getting tackled by 4 people, then i blacked out. the emergency doc says i have to get the ball in the knee cap replaced, hopefully thats not the case

eh, look on the bright side...you got a nice battle scar/wound to talk about...sports injuries are always worth it :tup:

knee injuries suck big time man! I feel your pain.... When I was playing in a tournament with my soccer team about a year and a half ago, I got fouled by two guys, all that I heard was a loud tear and a snap and it turned out that I tore my ACL stretched all the ligaments and tore all the cartilage in my knee, they tied the ACL back together and put two titanium screws in the side of my knee. Now I can hardly run, can't jump and can't play sports. I hope your injury turns out to be alot less man and that you get better soon.

In many cases a surgically repaired knee is stronger after surgery than before the injury... just don't skimp on any of the rehab opportunities. If you do end up having surgery, follow your doctor's advice to a T, don't try and do too much because it'll hurt you in the end. Once your knee is healed after surgery ask your doctor to recommend a rehab facility, and after that get into some sort of sports enhancement program, your insurance may or may not cover it, but trust me it is well worth it...

well TMILL this surgery will be the 3rd one on my knee. and there is no chances of me going into the military now or ever.

Dude that sucks. Good luck with everything. I used to have knee problems when I played football. Its terrible
