I have never tried my PS3 online, don't even know how it hooks up to online.

ssms you should try it, its actually really really easy to set up for online. on the main playstation menu, just scroll all the way over to the left where it says settings, scroll down to network settings, then i think its network connections or something, its quite easy to do, try it out
