Hey gang, I was humiliated on my way home from work today, it was not cool in many ways...
First, as I was getting on the highway, an Oldsmobile Alero 4 door pulled up and motioned me for a run and then took off. I saw that there was no traffic ahead so I decided to give chase thinking that I would overtake with ease...WRONG!
I was SLOWLY gaining on him when I notice a car up ahead using both lanes and as we approached, the car decided to take my fast lane (yes, it was an elderly driver) effectively cutting me off and bringing me back to my senses. I hit the brakes, waited for the Alero to pass this startled driver and pulled behind the Alero and let off the gas as a collision at nearly 90mph was not what any of us needed.
So in conclusion, my little V6 camaro could not easily overtake this Alero like I thought it would but at least our brakes work extremely well. This event however, made me miss my old '79 Trans Am, it rarely lost a street race and when it did, it was to a respectable hot rod, not a family grocery getter
Anyone else try to take someone down and not get the job done? I feel like I embarrassed all V6 camaro owners for letting this happen...
**DISCLAIMER** This post is purely fictional...just a nightmare I had earlier.
