thats because youre to damn busy trying to blow the cartridge out and massage the game into the system so that it works on the first try old man.

I brought ODST home last night, played it for an hour, had a good time. This morning, I get up, pop it in, and BAM! RROD.

If you send it in for RROD, they don't actually fix it, they just send you back a refurbished one, at least that's what they did with me... I sent 4 back over the course of a year... I've had my current one for a while now, though, with no RROD, but the tray has to be helped open and shut, and when it powers down it sounds like it's an engine trying to start... I figure eventually it'll die on me again, it's just a matter of time... and when it does, I doubt I'll ever buy a new one...

                          Re: The past 24 hours

The system red ringed after I put it in for the first time of the morning yesterday. Ruined the whole excitement and laziness day. As for you Mr. T-Mill, this is my second red ring (yes, the second); they sent me my original system back to me. I know that, because I had my roomate's PS2 sitting on top, and the rubber bits on the bottom on that system were kinda burned/stained on the shell of my elite. I got my box just a bit ago, now I'm sending it away again...at least it doesn't have to go from Virginia this time (Navy school last time it RRoD).
