Fun thing is that the government's gonna TAX you on that $4500 you got back.

How about instead of a central govt that would take money from you, we create a bunch of individual city-states. Why have a large govt if you can pay FAR LESS taxes and only have to worry about a larger city state coming in a conquering your home, raping your children, and killing everything in sight. Id say a 5% tax rate and everyone should be able to form city-states about the size of Dayton OH. Even better, we could have all our own chunks of land, pay no taxes at all, and only worry about our very own survival. That way, when I come by and whack you in the scrote and face with a ballbat for your resources, you'll only be dead instead of taxed to death.

A unified civilization requires funds and attention to perform correctly. Treating the govt as if it was a blue light special at Kmart is going to severely hurt us in the short and long term. If you really want to hear something funny, its that I have never seen so many minimum wage Walgreen's, MickeyD's, and supermarket baggers complain about taxes in all my life.

Yeah, um, I'd prefer if the government didn't spend my taxes on bull**** programs such as C4C. Some of what it's doing is just letting people who were driving ****ty cars go more into debt with new car payments. Then we get to bail them out too! You know, like the housing crisis.

Govt should stick with what is stated: defence and basic amenities.

Your little spiel about creating jobs? I think bringing back the same frickin' jobs doesn't have to cost $3 billion dollars. They're paying off the union thugs that slob over Zero's knob.:tdown:

didnt read the whole thread, but why were some of those cars listed in the OP even clunkered when they could have been traded for more? Just doesn't make any sense... all the cars we clunked at my dealership were actually pretty crappy cars worth less that what c4c was offering.

btw, i got my dad a great deal on a silverado by clunking his old converion van (we did part out the interior first tho to sell all the stuff and get a little extra change)

Yeah...housing and cars are exactly the same. The union thug thing? Wow...this isn't the 1950's and 60's. Maybe some half assed union does that stuff still, but not anymore. All in all, I can't quite understand your point or your argument.

BTW, if anyone here doesn't want to pay taxes, then don't. No one is physically holding a gun to your head telling you have to pay taxes. Go to construction, and when whoever your GC is sends you a 1099, don't send it in, or just move to Canada.
