  • I might start making custom gauges...

I don't have anything yet, but I've got an idea for something and want to see if there would be interest...

So I have access to some high-tech printing equipment and will be using it to make some custom gauge overlays for my car... The design I'm working on for mine will incorporate the Steelers logo, my name and possible chevy bowtie or something else, I really haven't figured the details of my design out yet...

I will be printing it on a matte finish type of thick transparency so that it will utilize the lighting of the stock gauges...

Would anyone be interested in something like this? I was thinking about $25 or so per... I'm not sure about any copyright issues with any logos or such, so I'll have to figure that out...

The way I think I would do it is if anyone is interested, they can let me know and I'll e-mail them a template... they can either print it and draw on it by hand, or using paint or something a little more capable, like illustrator, they could give me an idea of their design. I could then either use their design, or if they choose, use their general idea to make a professional looking gauge overlay using their design. E-mail it back and upon approval, print it...

I haven't decided on a definite price yet because I don't know how much it's going to cost me to do... just thought I'd get an idea of the interest form anyone here, or if anyone has any suggestions for me I'd appreciate the input...

Wasn't sure if this should go here or the For Sale section since I'm not really selling anything, at least not yet... so if it must be moved, please do so with my apologies...

I would definately be interested if you could do a completely custom design, as I have been searching high and low on 6litereaters site, and he just doesn;t have "that one" that I have pictured in my head. Keep in mind that the quality would have to be really good in order to probably sell, but if it is, count me in. I'll start drawing my design. Shoot me an email james42806@yahoo.com

I'm down. The 6lieater ones are expensive but are really good quality.

Good to hear once it gets going do you have any pics that you have done like in your car or someone elses?, I just do my stuff out of ABS plastic , I just need to do my frame around my wideband and I'll be done with my gauges.
